Amazon has been at the forefront of Black Friday, along with other retailers such as John Lewis and Argos.
Amazon began their event in the UK back in 2010 and they have tried to better their competitors each year.
Last year, Amazon began reducing prices two weeks before Black Friday and this year they kick off their deals on Friday 17 November.
Black Friday represented the company’s best day for sales, however, this has now been taken over by their own-branded, Prime Day, over the summer.
Black Friday is on Friday 24 November and falls the day after Thanksgiving in America.
According to reports, it is the biggest shopping day of year in the UK with an estimated £5.76 billion spent.
This trend could continue as 2017 has seen an uncharacteristic increase in the volume of products on sale in the run up to Black Friday.
In October, the volume of products on sale has increased by 43 percent according to data at LovetheSales.com.
This could happen with Amazon too and in particular with their own products such as the Kindle and Echo.
Amazon have released a new Echo (second-generation) currently priced at £89.99.
There is also the Echo Plus which has crisp sound quality and works as a smart home hub and is currently priced at £139.99.
You can also get the Echo buttons accessory for £19.99 and the brand new Echo Show for £199.99.
The Echo Show combines Alexa’s voice recognition with a seven-inch touchscreen for video calling and other visual content, which will be released 16 November 2017.
If the US is anything to go by, we can expect some reductions on the Echo products as Staples have already announced their deals on the Echo, Echo Dot and Echo Show.
The Amazon Echo (second generation) will be available for just $79.99 (£61) which is a real bargain, whilst the Echo Show is down to $179.99 (£137).
We can expect something similar in the UK, so keep an eye out as the big day gets closer.
