The eyes of many may be on Apple’s iPhone 8 and Samsung’s Note 8, both due to be released later this year, but the geekerati are watching out for the Nokia 8.

The entry-level Nokia 3 is now available to order across the UK and will ship during August, with the mid-range Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 following in the weeks afterwards.

There’s a new Nokia Android smartphone – and it’s just £119

But the hardcore fans of the Finnish brand-name may hold off for the presumptively titled Nokia 8.

This will be the high-end version of the new Finnish-designed handset, and it’s expected to be in stores for Christmas.

It might officially be a mystery, but we already know a lot of details thanks to leaks from the supply chain.

You really should be getting excited about HMD Global’s Nokia 8.

While Qualcomm’s SnapDragon 835 already graces top-line handsets like the OnePlus 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S8, the 4GB of RAM will allow the handset to run the latest applications, and the 64 GB of storage should give you more than enough room for pictures, video, and music.

The leaked images of the Nokia 8 also show of the latest ‘must-have’ smartphone feature, namely the dual camera system on the rear of the handset.

This allows for sharper images, better zoom, or arty portraits with a an out-of-focus background.

It’s also worth noting the brand name by the camera lens.

Zeiss lens previously graced some of Nokia’s most popular smartphones, and Zeiss’ return to the mobile market should make for a great camera on what is shaping up to be one of the key smartphones to be released this year.

The Nokia 8 is expected to be announced by HMD Global in Q4 2017.
